Come join fishmonger Ryan Rector for a hands-on workshop learning how to break down halibut and other flat fish. This class helps you develop new skills in the kitchen and takes the fear out of working with a whole fish. Everyone gets to cut fish and will take home fish they cut in class.

A chef-prepared dinner will also be prepared from the halibut cut in class. Please advise if there are any food allergies.

About the Fishmonger

With 15 years experience, and a family tradition of fishing, being a fishmonger came easily to Ryan. Moving from Alaska to Seattle to attend Design School to avoid the fish industry, Ryan could not deny his love for sea creatures. An avid home chef, Ryan believes there is always more to learn, and prides himself on his thirst for knowledge.
